About Me

Dr. J.W. Tony Brown-Arkah

As Chairman and CEO of American Medical Centers, I bring over 25 years of experience from my tenure at the New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation. I was born into Ghana’s elite families before its 1957 independence. Serving as the administrator for Kings County and Bellevue Hospital Centers Emergency Services, my roles demanded judicious organization and management of corporate systems.

My professional expertise is in Quantitative Medicine and Operations Research. However, my purpose-driven journey to contribute to the continent’s development was cut short due to oppressive foreign policies. As a result, I redirected my energy towards empowering my race.
